From Feasibility to UK Business Launch

Even in seemingly mature markets there is some times great potential by changing-the-game either through better market engagement/proposition or through radically different business operating models.  And some times the starting point is just a hunch.  In this case Ignetica were engaged initially to undertake a market and business feasibility study, before ultimately developing a the full business model.

In this case, our client a group of private investors felt there had to be an opportunity in a particular high value, home improvement/security product market. Despite static market size, with established but highly fragmented suppliers, our feasibility study indicated there would be an opportunity to successfully enter this market, with far more effective marketing techniques and operations models.  

Having established the potential Ignetica were asked to develop the business concept in entirety, from strategy and business planning, through product development, to operations and logistics.   International manufacturing and supply chain management is at the core of this business model, and we have helped develop the associated supply chain and manufacturing operations.

In this major piece of work we have developed the concept through to preparing for a full business launch and that’s not the end, Ignetica is currently programme managing the launch preparations and will be providing ongoing marketing and operating support during the early stages of the new business.

The new business successfully launched in October 03 as a multi-channel retailer and installer of high capital value consumer-products in the home improvement/security sector.
